boss/upset re: surgery

Janean, The placew will survive while you are gone, as I am sure you know. I bet she is just pissed off that she will end up being the one to pick up the slack. Can you offer to train someone to help her out?? Not that it is your responsibility to do so. I now see that I was extremely lucky when I had my surgery. I did it over a school vacation and took 2 additional weeks. I hired a sub and left my assistants plenty of classwork for the kids. They survived. Your place will too. Best of luck!!

Hi...and thank you for posting! Yes the place will survive. The only problem we are having with me training someone, is not the "job", it's the rates that the employees make. They asked me today if we can transfer the files to my home computer so that I can take care of about 1/4 of the work, and then I can train someone to do the "busy" stuff....just basic computer input. I dont know if I want to do that or not. I really just wanted to be off for a few weeks. I 'll have to see I guess. I'm kind of confused. But thank you again to all of you that sent your kind words.
