Cori Center in nyc
Hello everyone.
I'm just curious if anyone else has had any problems with with the Cori Centers in nyc.
It's been almost 2 months, & they've switched patient care reps with me now 3 times, & i don't even know who to contact, plus, they never return my calls, when i call them.
They claim they sent my paperwork to UHC several weeks ago, but everytime i call UHC they have no record of paperwork from them... however UHC says that doesn't mean they never received anything, it just means it's not in their system, & they haven't made a decision?
Has anyone else had problems like this, is this normal or am i just imagining all this stuff??
thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike
I went through the Cori-Center and that is the same thing I went through.....They are very bad at returning call........you have to get tough with them the surgeons are great surgeons so in that aspect you are in great hands....but the office staff sucks.....I am making excuses for them since they are all new to this process and Cori is new to NY.....well fairly new.....
I don't know who you have dealt with but trying calling Hannah she is in charge of dealing with the insurance company.....call and speak to her she is very sweet and let her know how you feel about the calls not being returned , and you feel they are not addressing you needs....
Who is going to be your sugeon? For the surgeon only I stuck it out.....
I hope this helps you if not please e-mail me and I will contact you so I can help you with your process...
Christine
Thanks Christine....
I called Cori this morning & spoke with Hannah, she said she would look at my file & call me back... which is the same thing i was told on Friday when i called twice.
I decided to call UHC again today, & they still have no record of any paperwork for any surgery for me. She confirmed whenever they get the paperwork from my surgeons office, they log it into the system, & then UHC has 30 days to respond. However, there is no record of anything.
I called Cori back after speaking with UHC, & told them that UHC has no records of any paperwork being submitted to them for me. The phone operator, Melody, i think her name was, pulled my file & put in on Hannah's desk, so now i'm just waiting for another call back!
I know the place is busy, but it has been 6 weeks, & the insurance company still doesn't have the paperwork.
I would like switch to a new WLS center at this point, but i've done everything thru Cori: all my testing is done, my psch eval, & my nutrition eval. Everything is hopefully done, & it all just needs to be submitted to UHC for review.........
