Post Your Meeting Times and Locations.....

Hi, Just a thought...and because I don't have a group and need to get involved with one...how about everyone who belongs to a WLS Support Group post it's meeting times and location? Might be good for the newbies, like me, especially if their doc's support group is a hike. Thanks! Deb

not sure where you live but i am in suffolk county and we have formed a group of suffolk women.... we meet at one of our houses and its wonderful its a great feeling to be around other people that have been there done that..... hope this helps..... Stacy 232/141/140

Hi Deb, I live in Olean, NY, are WLS support group is every other Monday at 7:30pm, at SubCon. The next meeting is May 2nd. Heather Tuttle

Lenox Hill Hospital on 77th Street between Park and Lexington has support group meeting with the surgeons present at the meetings. The lap band meeting is the second Thursday of each month (next one is May 12) and RNY is the third Thursday of each month.

Hey there Deb, I have a monthly meeting at my house here in Westchester usually it is on a Saturday and they are from 10am to 11am I will be posting the next meeting soon so you should see it when I do. Thanks all for your input....I live in Suffolk County on LI. I know there are meetings at Mercy Hospital and Good Sam but I don't know when the next meeting is. I also heard that Southside Hosp. has one too but not sure about that one. I have heard of the Suffolk support group and have contacted Dawn about this...hope to make the next meeting. Just wish there were more options and meeting times. Most of the groups looks like they meet in Nassau or Queens. Little far for me but guess I'll have to bite the bullet. Thanks again. Deb

Hi Deb, I live in Suffolk county too and I've been wondering the same thing. But there is a Lapband support group meeting I found out about at my consultation with Dr. Geiss - the first Tues each month (the next one is May 3.) They used to meet at Syosset Hospital, now they will be meeting here: North Ritz Club 7150 Jericho Tpke Syosset, NY (main entrance - lower level) (516) 921-4000 7pm Tues May 3 and every 1st Tues of the month

Deb, I go to the one at Southside on the first Monday of every month. Don't know what you have heard, but it is a really good group. Our next meeting is May 2nd and we have a plastic surgeon schedule to come to talk with us. Meeting starts at 7:30 - 7:45 and is in Board Room # 1 or the cafeteria. Hope you can make it. Patti
