Kristen, Your Mom is right - underactive thyroid is very common. I have had it for about 10 years now. The good new is how much better you'll feel once you start on medications and get your levels to where they should be. When my underactive thyroid was not treated it was almost impossible for me to get through the day without a nap. Now, that is not the case. Not that I don't still love my naps. Feel free to ask any questions and vent away. Mary

Hi Kristen!! I also have had a underactive thyroid for the last 10 years. It kinda sucks but once you get your meds going you will notice a BIG difference in how you feel. Best Wishes with it....you can vent here anytime, that's what we're for!! Karry 311/195/167 goal

It is a very common problem. I have had it for years and I am doing okay...just pay attention to the warning signs that your body gives you and keep your doctor appointments and you will be just fine
