Will you be my Angel?
I was scheduled to have my surgery on April 27, 2005, but due to poor lab results, it has to be rescheduled. I don't have a new date as of yet. My platelet count is low, 71000. It should be somewhere between 150-400,000. My doctor is requesting that I see a hemotologist to see if there is an underlying problem. I also have Iron Deficiency Anemia, which he has started me on 325mg of Iron 3x per day. Well, with all of this you can see I am a nervous wreck. I need someone that is experienced and has gone through the wls. I also would like for you to come and see about me while I am in the hospital (whenever that is), as I am a big baby ! I live in Uniondale, New York, so i would really like some one that doesn't live too far to be my Angel. I don't want you to have to go out of your way. Won't somebody be my Angel? Please !

Tammi,
I am in Amityville and had the WLS February of 2005. I am helping my very dearest friend through this process as well, as she is scheduled to have the surgery May 18. If you would like to read more about my experience, please feel free to visit my website.. www.dulike.net/TheStory
I don't quite know what an Angel is supposed to do, as I have never been one before... but please, feel free to use me for all the knowledge of my experience.. as I hope it will ease your tensions and help you through this. I am going to email you with my home email address.
You should be so very proud of yourself for your decisions to do this.. and you should remember that it took a tremendous amount of strength for you to come this far - and it is that strength that will carry you through the rest of this journey.
Emily
Hi Tammi-
All the best to you on the 27th. You've gone thru all the truly nerve-wracking parts and now we will all pray that God takes you over to the "loser's side" safely.
I am all the way in the Bronx with a crazy work schedule; but if you would like to correspond via email, IM or phone, feel free to do so and I will lend all the support I can.
