Hey everyone. I'm home. I feel really icky though. I went in on the 20th and my surgery was at 8am. I woke up really bad from the surgery, but was feeling okay by the time I got to my room. That day went by pretty fast course I slept most of it and was drugged nicely. The next day went okay as well, however that evening was really tough, got all emotional and I'm not sure why but it was rough. Then today came around and I was feeling great, was able to eat and stuff..got my tubes taken out. Got discharged, got home..and now I'm really uncomfortable. I'm sitting in my recliner..it's not comfy..my bed isn't that comfy, but I napped in it. My couch is to..soft..anyone have any ideas on how to be comfy? I'm kinda sad that I can't get real comfortable, I was okay in my bed but I hate laying in there all day with nothing to do but sleep. I think I may steal my daughters tv/vcr combo and watch TV in my room. I dunno. Anyways. I'm rambling. I'm home though, and glad that my pain meds are scored so I can take them easier with juice. My question is..did anyone really eat when they got home? I'm forcing myself to drink juice, however I can't really bring myself to eat anything. It just hurts. Any advice?

Hey Melissa, the only way that I could sleep was on my back. Still uncomfortable but....it was the only way. As for eating, you are on clear ;iquids correct? Just take small sips of diluted no sugar added apple juice, sf ice pops, broth and sf jello. You probably wont feel like eating but you really have to keep yourself hydrated. Good luck and glad that you are home. Best wishes Beth

Hi Melissa and welcome to the losing side..... It takes time to get comfortable....but soon you will find it easier.....try taking a pillow and putting it on the side of you belly when you are in bed it just ease's up the pulling feeling when you lay down.... You should be on a liquid diet, is that what your doctor told you so just sip on the broth, ice pops no sugar added apple juice... I hope you get a comfort zone soon.....Congratulations to you. you are on the losing side..... Christine

Heather I remember you. Actually today is a bit better, I have been cutting my pills in half and taking them slowly in half tablets and they're going down easier, so that helps out LOADS. My husband and I got a good working system down now getting me in and out of bed and into my recliner. We also moved my daughter's TV into my room so now I can relax and watch tv and rest.. Everyday is better I'm gunna keep thinking that, and I am doin good Thanks to you all.

Glad to hear you are feeling better today. I see you got out of the hospital in 2 days. That's great. I am hoping for the same. Did you have any complications? Well talk to you soon. Heather

No complications at all actually. Everything went perfect so says the doctor. Which I'm like yay! Most of the ladies have been getting out in two days, it's more normal now than before I suppose. He told me I could stay the third day or go home today..and I chose to go home on the second day..I missed my bed. I thought though that maybe I made a bad idea when I got home because I couldn't get off my couch..but..I'm happy now
