WHAT DO THEY HAVE TO DO IF YOU HAVE A STRICTURE. DOES IT REQUIRE A HOSPITAL STAY. DEBBIE

I would assume you would be admitted in the hospital for the endiscopy and the can open your stomach opening...depending on your doc you may have to stay a day or two and maybe not....I wish I had all the answer but all you need to do is call you surgeon and ask him/her what is the procedure.... wishing you the best and hope everything gets better... i had one 6 weeks post- op. it a common occurence. i was in the hospital approx. 4 hours. pretty much the doctor sedates you, and then they scope you. when you wake up they feed you to make sure you can swallow. don't stress, it wasn't bad at all. donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/139/135
