I posted this on the Main board...but would like some feed back from my Neighbors ....I'm sure I'm just being paranoid but I need some one else to tell me that ...Thanks to you all! Clarissa I'm 16 days post-op and I started the "pureed" part of my diet on Sunday of this week. I'm able to eat about 1/2 cup of soft food at a time. Should I be able to do that all ready? I've had things like LF Cottage Cheese w/mashed NS canned peach, shrimp salad, chicken salad, NF/NS pudding, scrambled eggs....etc. I also drink a protein shake everyday (canned or "home made"). I've not had any problems with being sick and when I feel uncomfortable I stop...but I'm not sure I've figured out what the full feeling is like. I do feel hungery at the "appropriate" times...ie breakfast, lunch, dinner...sometimes during mid afternoon as well. I guess I just expected to have more issues (feeling sick, not tolorating food etc.) than what I've had....and I'm worried I'm doing something wrong. Perhaps I'm just lucky and should not look a gift horse in the mouth Anyway I would love to know what the experts out there think. Thanks for "listening". Clarissa

Hi Clarissa Alot of it is head hunger and your not hungry, and I know you thought you would not be able to eat that much but you can I did after a sort time you will begin to feel full faster when you are on whole food not mashed and purees....I know this doesn't help with your question but you should ask your doc or nutrionist and they can give you the best answer, but I think you are doing fine.....but what do I know..... I hope you find the answer youare looking for Christine

Thanks Christine...I will give the nutritionist a call tomorrow. I'm just worried that I will hurt something...or that maybe I'm still "numb" from the surgery. I've been very successful at making sure everything I eat is on the LIST and within 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Thanks for the advice....Have a great night. Clarissa
