dont quote me but i think many surgeons REQUIRE or ALL require you to quit smokeing is because its been said and proven that NON smokers heal better and faster with out complications. FOR that many request u be smoke free prior to this elective surgery!

Hello Debbie my surgeon told me yesterday that smoking irritates the stomach and it being so small you are more likely to get a ulcer from it. thin wishes and WLS dreams Tammy

My doc would not preform my surgery unless I quit. That was one of the first things on his list. He told me that being overweight and being under anesthia is not good, but also being a smoker makes it very bad. Karry 311/200/165 (goal)
