thank you - Suffolk County LIer Support meeting last night....

Just wanted to thank all the people at the Suffolk County Chapter for WLS support meeting that met last night. This was a group formed from this site. I am pre-op and it was so nice to listen and talk to so many post ops that are on the loosing side and so happy now. All the information and experiences were a pleasure to here...thanks to every individual that attended you all helped in reconfirming that I am makeing the right and best choice for my health and future. A bigThanks to you for Stacy for having it in your home! I hope all areas from the board can form groups to actually meet. I hope by the next time the group meets to be on the loosing side or have my surgery date. Lisa

Me too! I live in Huntington and would like to find a meeting close by...even thinking of starting one...anyone else interested or close? I'd love to join an existing group because I'm a newbie though... Deb

i would love to join,too. i live in huntington, but my doctor holds his meeting out in riverhead. i work in the city mon- friday, so it's impossible for me to attend his meeting. donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/140/134

Hi everyone!! My name is Dawn Smith and I am one of the Chapter Leaders for the WLS Chapter for Suffolk County Support group. Lisa, the post that you wrote was wonderful!! You were so quiet the other night and I didn't know if you were enjoying yourself. So it was great to come here and see your post!! I founded this support group for the very purpose of not only meeting people who have had weight loss surgery, but to find people who were local to my area.
