Hello All,
OK I am at it again with the questions..... I was wondering about my thyroid after WLS, can anyone tell me if they had a decrease in meds after the surgery? I am at such a low dose already. I get it checked once every year anyways but was wondering if I need to have it checked before that time do to the surgery... BTW....Mine is under active, Hypothyroidism(sp?)
Thanks as always,
Debra P

Evelyn,
Hello hun...~hug~ Yeah the Dr's don't really know what happens with that, they say we are all different and that is correct so I just wanted to get some feedback......I also posted on the main board...
I think I am getting what hubby had... But I am still fighting...
I will tell him you said hello....
Take care
Debra
Debra-
I am on a pretty high dose of thyroid meds. I too have hypothyroidism. Anyways my does has not changed and I have had it checked recently. My doc wants to check it every 3 months or so just to be sure. It probably will go down eventually. Just keep an eye on your symptoms too, especially if you feel your heart racing, could be too much meds. I agree with Claudia though (by the way GREAT PIC!!!) I think less of the meds are getting absorbed!
