Having surgery in a couple of days.

I am due to have my surgery on April 7th and am starting to get anxious and scared at the same time.

Dear Christine, I am with you!! I am having surgery on 4/19 and I am a complete wreck. My mind keeps running and running I cannot concentrate on anything. I am hoping it's normal cause I am scared to death!!!! God Bless I will be thinking of you on the 7th Best Wishes DonnaMarie

I not going to wish you good luck, YOU don't need it! You were strong enough to make a very tough decision for the love of yourself. And I have no doubt you are strong enough to sail right thru. A woman that strong only needs God's Speed. So I'll wish you God's Speed, for a safe and successful surgery and a speedy recovery. I sure remember that feeling!!! I was also scared to death, BUT I only wish I had done this sooner. It was soooooo worth it! No one is more important to you than YOU. Always remember that. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and wonderful life! Karry

Christine, I am still pre-op but I can understand the feeling, I am hoping to get a date in May but I think it might be June. I am just holding my own right now, I hate waiting..... I just pray that God grants me calmness when I get closer to my date because I am already worried about everything, well at least thinking about everything..... WOW I THOUGHT I WAS A WIERDO..LOL..LOL BECAUSE I NEVER HAD THIS FEELING BEFORE FIRST I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I GOT A DATE AN APPROVED THEN I GOT EXTREMLY NERVES SO I AM NOT ALONE THANK GOD. wow! You have the same feelings many people have! My surgery is going to by 5/23 and I got the date yesterday. I am scared! I keep reminding myself that I see the same post again and again and then I see the person post that they made it and they are soooo glad... I watch them lose, I go to their profiles and see how they dealt with it. I do not have any WLS friends and I am alone. See if you can find some local support. Please post afterwards so I can learn form you! You will be fine! Dream about how great you are going to look- fantasize about that new outfit, oh- the payoffs! Thay is what I do- I look at WLS before and after pictures, then I look at the high heels I bought....
