Hey everybody!! After going to a support group and meeting some of you guys and talking to friends who have had the surgery, I have decided it's for me. So I made an appointment with Dr. Pomp everybody who has used him talks about the guy like he walks on water, then takes that same water and turns it to wine. My appointment is May 2nd. He had earlier appointments but they conflicted with my schedule so MAY... another month!!! Anything you think I should have prepared for my first consulation??? Any steps I should be taking before I meet with him??? Thank you all for your support and advice. Enzo Averaimo

Enzo, Congrats hun...... That is great that you have chosen to have WLS....~hug~ from what I have read most do not regret it and I am so looking forward to having mine as well..... Well all I know is start to make a list of questions you want to ask, keep it with you all the time and just keep adding to it. I did and well lets just say I did not have that many since I read so much on it already.... and with my surgeon I can email when ever I need to ask something so that is cool. Best of luck hun...~hug~ Take care Debra P

Congrats Enzo for taking such a huge step in your way to weight loss. I remember how nervous I was at my first consultation. My doctor told me it's normal, and most of the people he sees thinks that he's gunna operate on them right there. HAHA. Just remember to ask LOTS of questions!!!

Congrats on your decision to have weight loss surgery. I am a little over three months post op and lost sixty lbs. I don't regret it one bit. I seem to have so much energy, the people at home and work just get tried watching me. My house is cleaner than it has ever been before cause I have so much energy to get rid of. Just ask what ever questions you have at your consultation. Do lots of research and congrats once again. Sara
