Calorie intake...
I am almost 5 months post-op and am wondering what is the right calorie amount for me. I was 311 and am now 205. I don't really count my calories. I watch my carbs and protien. What is the right amount of carbs and fat? I also have a hard time with chicken and a lot of other meats. Am going to try veggie meats to see if that is better. Thanks for any help!

Wow - congratulations on the loss - alot in just 5 months. I am 2-1/2 months postop and have only lost 35 lbs, but I am not exercising and that probably means a lot. Went from 262 to 228 so far. My nutritionist at my doctor's office says 0-3 months 800 calories, 3-6 months 1200 and six months and longer 1600 calories. Sounds like a lot, but that is what she recommended. You should ask your doctor or nutritionist. Good luck. Lynne

Let me start by saying Congrats all that HUGH weight lost. That is great.
I've started logging everything I eat and drink on fitday.com. And I have to say I'm so glad I did. I thought I was only eating about 200-500 calorie a day. But I found out I've been eating from 200-900 per day. One day I was able to get it up around 1200. But that's because I am going crazy with the carbs.
But trying going on fitday.com and that can help you watch your food intake.
Good luck
Maria
