Newbie Here

Hi All, I have been lurking on the site for the past two weeks, I did email Debra P. and she told me what a great group this is and encouraged me to post. I was "banded" on March 17, 2005 and so far so good. This coming Tuesday I go back to the doctor and hopefully will graduate to "mush" I have been getting the " Hey, have you changed your hair style" and "You look different" I just laugh to myself. Right now I am down 25lbs (that includes the 10 the doctor said I had to lose prior to surgery). I sure am not dreading this summer (for a change). That is if we ever have summer, right now in Monticello, NY it is raining sideways, the roads are flooded, what a mess. Glad to have stopped my lurking days Thanks, Jodi

Hello Jodi Welcome to the NY boards. I am pre-op. I have met many wonderful people here and on the main boards. Everyone is open when you have a question and even when they share their experiences everyone is so open and honest. Which i love its not always the good things, its everything. Thanks Geri and Debra, Geri I had my lap band done by Dr. Kwon in Port Jervis and used Bon Secours hospital, can't say a bad thing about him or the hospital, it was a great, postive experience. Hey Debra, how are you today? Finally some sun Good luck and thanks, Jodi
