Hi NY'ers, I've been lurking this site for about a week now. So happy that I found you! I'm a Long Islander and I have my consultation with the surgeon on 4/12. Looking forward to it but getting nervous at the same time.... Dee

Dee, Hun welcome to this board, what a great place to learn and get to know people..... I moved from LI to upstate 1 year ago and love it..... I was in Suffolk County and it was to crowded for sure..... When I had my first consult I chickened out and rescheduled it, now I wish I didn't because I would have been 1 month ahead but I guess I was just not ready at the time.......But I am sure ready now, still nervous but very excited as well....... Hi Dee Welcome aboard!! Glad you stopped lurking. If you have any questions, you certainly have come to the right place as there are people here in every stage of this journey. Hi Dee! Welcome, welcome, a hearty welcome to you! I'm still pretty new here, too, but I have already found an angel of an angel, or should I say she found me! This website is LOADED with great info and lots of help. It certainly has made a difference in my WL journey to find these great folks. Most of them have been around the block, so to speak, and have helped me make informed choices. Pull up a comfy chair, grab a protein drink, and sit a spell! Becky Jean
