BEGINNING MY PROCESS...
HI, I WAS E-MAILED TODAY AND TOLD TO CHECK OUT THIS MESSAGE BOARD. I JUST WANTED TO SAY HELLO! I AM A 23 YEAR OLD MARRIED MOTHER OF 3 GORGEOUS CHILDREN. I AM ABOUT TO EMBARK ON THE NEW BEGINNING OF MY LIFE. I AM EXCITED ABOUT ALL OF THIS. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY FOR MY CONSULTATION APPT. WHICH WILL BE ON APRIL 27TH. I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE THAT DR. GRANIERO WOULD NOT PERFORM SURGERY ON ME UNTIL I HAVE BEEN 6 WEEKS SMOKE FREE. I HUNG UP THE PHONE, CRUSHED THE CIGS, AND STUCK A PATCH ON. THIS IS PART ONE OF THE TOUGH LIFE CHANGING CHOICES I AM GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE FOR MYSELF. I HOPE TO GET A CHANCE TO TALK WITH YOU ALL AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM AS MANY OF YOU WHO WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH ME EITHER YOU POST-OP OR PRE-OP STORIES.

First of all let me applaud you for getting started on a new chapter in your life!!
I started my process in like December and just a week ago I got my surgery date for April 20th! Good luck to you Melissa..I know how hard
it is to quit smoking especially, I've been smoke free over a year now, however it's just as hard then as it is now..
I have faith in you and I am praying for you. Everything has been really easy for me thus far, and I know that I'm really blessed to have it go smoothly. I hope things go just as smoothly for you as they did for me.
God bless you.

Welcome EVELYN....
So nice to hear you quit smokeing and your on your first steps for this new journey!!!!
I havent had my surgery....
I am hopeing for a MAY date....
My doctor should have all his pre op reports in his hands
next week and were meeting April 21. At that appointment i am
certain we will book my surgery.
I am nervous a drop as I have a surgeon that requires some wait off
first and i have been floating up and down with that some.
GOOD LUCK

Smoking slows down your healing process, your surgeon just wants to make sure that you are going to recover with few to none complications
Thank you all for the support! I am greatful for all the responses! So far doing okay with the not smoking. Definitly hard though. Especially with 3 Little little ones, lol. I guess this will help me prove to myself if I am dedicated enough to change my life. I think I am. I look forward to hearing more from you all. Melissa
