Follow Up After Surgery

Well I went for my follow up appt today and got the gastric tube out! That was a relief....and I lost 11.5 pounds!!! I was hoping for 10 so I was really excited with the extra. Dr. DiBenedetto said I am doing great. The only bad news is because of my job I have to wait the full 8 weeks to go back to work. I graduated to pureed foods today too. It is weird to be actually eating my food instead of drinking it! After I am done eating I am going out for my walk. He wants me to get up to 2 miles a day 5 days a week before I see him on May 3. Since I can't do a whole lot else that will help to fill my days. I can't believe how good I am feeling for 2 weeks out! I hope this lasts forever!!

Congratulations you are doing great and since your not back at work yet do the walking as much as you can cause it is hard to get it done when you get back to work..... WOW i love posts like yours that your feeling so great after 2 weeks!!! I run a family daycare business in my home and the sooner im back to work the easier on my parents this entire thing will be. CONGRATULATIONS on your first pounds gone!
