How long does it take?

Hi everyone.... just wondering how long it takes to get a profile spruced up.... I emailed last week and still nothing..... Anyway, update.... I have my appt with the nutritionist today at 1, gotta get my hiney going.... and i have my sleep apnea test on Fri night... kinda nervous about that one..... it's gonna feel weird having people watch me sleep... i'm sure I will have no problem falling asleep... I havent had a decent night sleep in 3 weeks.... my 1 year old is cutting 4 teeth at once, and they dont want to come out!!! So, needless to say, I've been getting out of bed at least 4 times a night and waking up at 5 every morning... feel like i'm going to die if i dont get sleep soon... so I get to sleep and my hubby will realize what interrupted sleep feels like!!! After the sleep apnea test, I am done... then dr will submit all info to the ins co and it's a waiting game.... anyone know how long it takes for the ins co to get back to you? I would appreciate any feedback..... Hope y'all have a great Tues! Off to my nutritionist!! Gotta be there in 20 min!! Gia

Gia, I hope your appt goes well hun and you are coming along with all your pre appts I see...... I will go to my surgeon on the 14th and play the waiting game as well.....~sighs~ I think someone told me it could be 1 week to 4 weeks before knowing something from GHI but every Ins comp is different...... GIA, WOW YOU SOUND LIKE ME WITH THE NEW BABY. I HAVE A 10MTH OLD AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT SLEEP IS..I AM UP EVERY 4HRS NOW A FIRST I WAS UP EVERY 2-3 AND YESS I WAKE UP ALSO AT 5.00 SO GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU CAN GET SOME SLEEP. AS FAR AS INSURANCE IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT INSURANCE YOU HAVE I HAVE G.E.H.A FEDERAL AND WHEN THEY GOT ALL MY INFO FROM THE DOCTORS OFFICE I WAS APPROVED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES NO JOKE. I WAS VERY SURPRISE BUT I THOUGHT WELL THAT'S WHY I PAY SO MUCH FOR INSURANCE EVERY SO FINALLY IT'S PAYING OFF.. IF YOU ASK ME NO INSURANCE COMPANY SHOULD GIVE ANYONE NO PROBLEM ALL THE MONEY WE GIVE THEM I PAID FOR MY SURGERY ALREADY..LOL TAKE CARE, TRACEY

Hey Tracey, How old is your little one? Mine is 14 months old and she is my life! Just spent 2 hours in the ER with the baby... seems she has acid reflux... wont keep anything down... the good thing is that she is in good spirits, once she throws up she's back to running around and playing.... fortunately, she's usually a good sleeper.... she's usually asleep at 6:30 the latest, sleeps thru the night and wakes up at 7:30 and she's been sleeping this way since she's been 4 months old... ( i stuff her like a turkey before i put her to bed...lol) i've been lucky, but because she's teething, she's been getting up a few times throughout the nite... I'm so not used to this.... I feel for the mothers who do this every night for years!!! Good luck with your little one....

Hi Gia...I think it took 3-4 weeks for them to spruce up my profile. Good luck with your little one! We had a nice break from any teething episodes. Then 2 weeks ago, my daughters 2 yr molars started coming in. YIKES! Good Luck! Maria

Thanks Maria.... As far as her teething, she hasnt been that bad... i just saw that one of the 4 actually cut through already... good luck with your daughter's molars. I heard that they were the toughest to deal with...

Gia.... You'll receive an email when it's done. It took them about two and a half weeks to do it. I guess they are really busy because they are backlogged or something. Babies are fun....are you lacking in sleep because of the teething or the sleep apnea? I think I have sleep apnea too....my next ( and hopefully my last) appt is Wed. and if all goes well they send out the paperwork for approval then.The wait is terrible but I can't wait to be a "LOSER"!! anyhow...good luck!! -Betty-Jean

Hey Betty Jean, I dont know if I have sleep apnea... I'm going to have a test done tomorrow night... I'm nervous to have all these people watching me sleep, but I'm actually looking forward to getting some sleep hopefully.... and I know that I will have no trouble falling asleep.... my 1 year old is fun, but not at 3 am....lol.... now my husband will know why I've been tired the past few days.... and as for you, I cant wait to be a loser either.... I never thought I would say that... lol.... I was watching channel 7 Eyewitness news and there is a guy who works there who is having bypass done and they're following it step by step... it's cool.... talk to you later.... Good Luck to you
