Hi everyone....I'm home and doing OK. I'm 5 days post-op now and feeling better every day. I have one incision that is giving me some problem...very bruised and tender...but other than that I'm doing well. I'm tolerating everything I'm "eating"....Ice cold water is the best tasting though. I'm still trying to figure out this new system and what it all means Every air pocket, body function and movement seems like a whole new would. This leads me to a very interesting topic and question Is it normal to have diarrhea every time I move???? I don't know if I should be concerned or if this is par for the course. If you have any experience with this or have any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thank to you all I hope you have a wonderful day. Clarissa Oh..I changed my "name" because of the problems I've read with people having their posts show up on web searches....still Clarissa just under the name Sis M

Hi Clarissa, Welcome home. I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. I am also newly post op. I had the same trouble with diarrhea. It lasted for about 2 1/2 weeks, every morning. Then it just went away, and i started going normally. From the stories I have heard from some people, it is a blessing. Being constipated can be a misery! Wishing you a speedy recovery! Gail

Hi, Clarissa Congratulations on your surgery! I had my surgery on St. Patrick's day, will be 2 weeks Thursday. I had the same problem. When I started the protein shakes after my first appointment post op (5 days later) I kind of went the other way to constipation. Take care, Jodi
