Protein Drinks!?!
Hey everyone! I was wondering what everyone's favorite protein drinks are! I want to order some samples to try out before surgery just to know which ones are tolerable. I have read a lot about nectar, so I ordered a sampler with 7 flavors from enjoyhealth.com. The samples were inexpensive and the lady I spoke with, Sherry, had wls and has lost 200 pounds, so she had experience with the drinks!
If you have any other drinks that are not so chalky and heavy, preferably not thick shake types, please let me know!
Thanks,
Andi
I really love the Isopure Lowcarb Dutch Chocolate. I've mixed it with water and milk. And sometimes I throw in a frozed banaba piece with a bit of ice and it's great.
I mix it up in a shaker and then blend in some ice with a little hand blender I bought in Walmart.
I ordered a bunch of samples also and found all of the flavorless powders were the same to me and I needed something with a lot more flavor to get them down.
Also if you go to www.smartforme.com they have premixed drinks. I'm going to buy those for the first couple of weeks back to work so I dont have to lug all that junk back and forth everyday.
Good Luck!!
i love pure protein in either the cappacino or chocolate flavor, you can buy it at gnc or trader joe's. theses are can protein drinks. also, i love champion pure whey chocolate flavor. this one you just mix with water and it tastes like chocolate milk, no nasty after taste. you can buy samples of this at vitalady.com.

Well, trying stuff before surgery is not going to mean you will like them after surgery. Things seem to taste different after. My favorite is the GNC 100% whey protein in chocolate. It mixes instantly in water or milk and tastes a lot like Swiss Miss. When I was early post-op and milk-based just wouldn't go down, I liked the isopure pre-made bottles.
Good luck and God bless!
