First Consultation!!!!

Well, the Drs ofc called today. I have my first consultation with Dr. Sapala on May 18, 2005! Wow! I know it seems like a long time, but I have insurance issues. My new insurance doesn't become effective until May 14! So, I'll have to wait. I mean, I've waited 26 years to make this decision, what's another month and a half or 2 months? Maria, I talked with Melanie, and she's definitely giving me Dr. Sapala! She says I should be comfortable, and I totally agree! Woohoo, I'm on my way!!!!!!! Andi :crazy

Congratulation's you have made a wise and difficult decision to have wls....And you have Dr. Sapala, you are in good hand he really is a great surgeon.....you should know thou that you will have to stay on top of the office staff they are not good at returning phone calls so if you can't speak to someone leave a message and continue to call back again later....until all your questions are answered..... I also had Dr.Sapala nick name smiley he is a very happy man and pleasant person at work....Don't forget to write a list of all your question you have for him I went in with a long list and he answered all of them....he will take his time with you until you are finished so you will be comfortable with him... One step ahead of you. I started this list when I first started researching. I have researched every doc in the vicinity before I picked Dr. Sapala. Looked up everything I could about him and the Cori Centers. I even get up at 3 am and write down another question if I think of it! That's a bit of my OCD showing thru, I guess. But, this is not going to get my eyes checked...or even having a tooth pulled. This is MAJOR SURGERY, and I am a scaredy cat, so I wanted to make sure I knew/know everything about it! Andi, Congrats on your appt hun.... I know I was so excited about my first appt and then I cancelled the day before..... I got so nervous and scared, then I knew it was not my time and I needed to take more time....Now I kick myself because then I would be on my way by now....
