Constipation Question
Hi Marianne, retention of stool can cause a weight gain, but retention of fluids can cause more. I retain fluids, and my weight can be as high as 5 pounds higher in the evening than it was in the morning. Fortunately, I get on the scale the next morning, and it is gone. This is why it is not recommended to weigh yourself daily. To see the rise and fall of the numbers can be depressing, and in some cases make us eat more....(that oh well attitude). I have a set time and day to record my weight for the week. Even thou I weigh myself daily, I am aware of the fluid retention, and personally think I am addicted to the scale. This is not a good thing, and for as many times that I have promised myself I will weigh only once per week, I am still hopping on it every morning.
Best wishes to you,
Susan
