I just wanted to thank this wonderful AMOS family for all of the support I have received since my surgery was cancelled. I am feeling much better about the cancellation and can now at least write or talk about it without tearing up. I did find out that I cannot appeal because Aetna has not denied my surgery. They have just requested more documentation that I have participated in 6 months of supervised programs over the past 2 years. I have a couple of things that may fit the bill. My doctor's office will fax one of them tomorrow or Thursday to see if Aetna will accept it as documentation or not. The other I am waiting to hear from my past PCP. She was always talking to me about my weight, but whether or not she documented it in three consecutive months remains to be found. If she did, then I can submit that info to see if it is acceptable. If neither is acceptable, I will have to do a sixth month supervised program with my PCP. I have an appointment with him on 3/21. Again, thank you all for your messages and support and encouragement. I you all. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Brenda

Brenda, Many should thank you for your daily inspiration and kind words. You have always gone out of your way. I have seen it on the boards and personally. Epictetus writes: I am always content with what happens; for I know what God chooses is better than what I choose. Things happen for a reason and at this time, we do not know or understand why you are being given this trial. However, I do know that with or without surgery, you will be blessed in your life. I have learned a lot in the past month. In the chats we have had, the emails, the postings with you and others out there, my attitude has improved. I have become less critical (Lord please help me keep working on this), and I have come closer to looking at God's will. I'm not totally there yet, but I'm on the right track. You never know what an impact you will have on another person. But, let me tell you.. you have truly blessed others. I am praying that your journey continues and that you become strong, continue with courage and do not lose the faith. xoxo, your friend, Terri
