Got Approval

After meeting the surgeon I got approval in the mail for authorization for the Lap Band, within two weeks. I did not think it could happen so fast. I am scheduled for April 26 at Lenox Hill in Manhattan. I would love to speak with others who at the beginning of the process. If we can help each other do well I will be their. Is there any kind of group in Brooklyn? I would join. If their are any Brooklynites who want to get together, I would love to have a get to know you get together. It has been an up and down decision for me. I sometimes feel as though I know this is what I need to do in order to get healthy, then I start wondering if I am making the right decision. I don't have much of a support group. My dh is very supportive, however, I have been on Workers Comp, since being injured at work, and being home, I have been isolated over the winter, most friends and family are out of town. Barbara, Hello hun, I am still Pre-op but wanted to say congrats on the approval and I wish you the very best........ It has been a yo-yo feeling for me at the beginning but I got over that since all the pre testing shows I need the surgery or else I would have many more health problems to be dealing with later on in life.....or sooner in some cases........Now it is just nerves that get in my way but I don't let them tell me what to do anymore....
