Need help with DH

My husband keeps saying that he thinks im going to leave him when I get thin. After saying this (3x) he tells me that he is just kidding every time. I know him well enough to know that where there is smoke, there is fire, so I am pretty sure by now that this is something that he is truly concerned about. I told him that it was ridiculous to think that way. He loves me now as big as i am. He MARRIED me when i was 203lbs and 5'1. I am sure of him. I trust him. I know he loves me. I love him. We have 2 beautiful children. He is a great husband and father. So please tell me......WHAT THE HELL ELSE CAN I DO TO REASSURE THIS PAIN IN THE ....LOL. He insists that he is just kidding, but i dont think he would KEEP saying that if he didnt feel a little bit insecure. I keep catching him out of the corner of my eye, staring at me with a wierd look like he is going to miss me. He gives me the creeps.....lol JOHN STOP IT!!!!!!!! (in case he is reading this) I would appreciate any suggestions.....Thanks

Pam, I think it is normal for him to have those fears. I think that most husbands go through that, I know that my husband is too. I just keep telling him how much I love him and I tell him about all the fun things we are going to be able to do in the bedroom (wink!) . I tell him that he is going to love showing me off to the world. Life is just going to be so much more fun for us when I lose this weight. I will actually be happy when we get invited to BBQ's, pool parties etc. In the past I always came up with an excuse about why I couldn't go because I was so self concious about my weight. Just remind him that your life TOGETHER is only going to get better!!! Gail

Just keep reassuring him that as long as he continues to be a great husband, and father that he is he has nothing to worry about. What you love about him has nothing to do with what YOU look like. Some men are very threatened by the their wives losing weight but just keep reassuring him and talk. Its the marriages that were in trouble before that have big troubles after the weight loss. I agree with what someone else said..it gets better in the bedroom too!
