DS support group in NYC?

Does anyone know of a specific DS support group in New York City? Would anyone like to join in forming one? Maybe lunch at a midtown Manhattan location (near Grand Central or other easily accessible place)? (Why do I always associate getting together with food?) This web site is great, but I think I could benefit from some face-to-face time with people who've been there. My surgery is on Feb 17. It would be great to try to put one together in mid-March if there is any interest.

Hi Nancy ... There are no DS-specific formal support groups that I know of in the NYC area. There are a few of us post-ops in the Queens/Nassau area who have been talking about getting together and comparing notes but that hasn't happened yet. Contact me via email if I can be of any help.

Hello Sweetie ... Gee I miss you when you are out living life! I'm holding my own, struggling past nausea from what appears to be "deep ketosis." I'm almost 3 months out already, if you can believe that. I see the surgeon this week and should have some weight loss news to share (I only weigh at his office). Still having a hard time with stamina/energy but forever hopeful I'll be a real live functioning human again before long. {{{SUPER DUPER HUGS}}} & BIG JUICY
