Hiya Pam~~ Thanks for your kind words! I live in Huntington area and yes we are neighbors. I just can not wait until you are on the losing side.....life will just keep on getting better and better for you, your husband and children!! You will be living life to the fullest and not jus****ching it go by from the sideline! I know that you do not have much support from other family memember --happy to hear your cute and talented brother has come around--I know what that must mean to you!! My daughter also had WLS when she was 24 yrs old--almost 3 yrs ago--and her life is so much better. I never see her anymore, she is so busy!! Have you been to a support group meeting? They are really very important to attend. I hear that there is a great support group out by you. Below is the link to one of the members, e-mail her and find out where and went they meet. If there is anything that I can help you with, please just let me know!!! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=F1074456175

Dear Pamela, It is normal to be frightened by the fact that you are about to go through major surgery! I was scared too, but held it together until they were prepping me for surgery. By looking at the memoriums, as well as the good outcomes, you can say you are going in with full knowledge of the pros and cons of WLS. Only you know in your heart what is right for you to do. This is an individual decision, and for WLS to work you also must commit to a total lifestyle change. It is NOT an easy decision to decide that the surgical route is the best option for weight loss. So many people will try to sway your decision one way or the other, but the bottom line is that YOU must do what works for you. REMEMBER: THIS SURGERY IS ONLY A TOOL for you to use to improve your health and the quality of your life. Good Luck in whatever you decide! Yvonne

Girl I know what you mean. I did the same thing. I think it is normal for us to be afraid. I got my date and now I am excited and terrified. We didn't get this far for no reason. It is a step forward for us. A big step. Who knows why God chose to take those other people. Why do you want to do this? I am doing it because I am unhealthy and unhappy. I hope you will find the strength of God to help you. I will pray for you and your surgery. Loretta
