I am 7 weeks out as of today and no B.O. to speak of on this gal... If anything, I am able to keep cleaner since dropping 44 lbs... Now as for the bowel movements, yes that is 100% true sometimes... I notice it smells stronger than it ever used to but it's not an every day occurence for me either... I don't have gas very often either other than burping... I don't know that there is much you could do to make the smells any better??? I just figure its a part of post-op life and it's sure better than being as heavy as I was... At least with that issue, you can just FLUSH and its gone... Chelle In NNY

Hi Pamela I did not have body odor pre-op and I have not experience any post-op. It is not true that "you will develop body odor". I guess it all depends on the individual. Wishing you all the best. Glenda

To say that it WILL (noifsandsorbuts) happen would be a lie, but it CAN happen. It has to do with the skin folds, yeast, sweat and natural body odor, or whatever, which grows or starts between/underneath them. But this can also be a problem for people who are overweight even post-op (or for those who are not even considering surgery). Rashing can also be a problem too.
