Hi All, I'm heading to GNC this weekend in preparation of my surgery next week, so my question is this, are there any protein powders with no flavor? What shakes are good? I hated Insure and Boost I found a little blah too.. What has worked for you all? Anything that tastes like the real thing or am I dreaming?? Thanks for the advice! ~Jennifer

Hey Jennifer Congrats on your upcoming date. I hope all goes well. I was wondering about the shakes myself. My nutritionist told me about Resource protein shakes. You can find them at walgreens. I think they are formulated for bypass patients. Good luck!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I also am preparing for surgery and wondered about protein shakes and powders. I read the book by Barbara Thompson and she suggests Isopure and I think Myoplex. My nutritionist suggests Wegman's Whey Protein powder. I also spoke with the owner of a local nutrition store and he was very helpful when I explained what I needed. He even GIVES you samples before you put money into the larger sizes. The whey proteins come in flavors, too. Remember that what you like before surgery, you may not like after surgery and I imagine vice versa. Wishing you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Brenda
