Hi Lorraine. Congratulations on your surgery date! I am 8 weeks out and can tell you things that work for me and maybe then you can get an idea of what you will like. #1 stock up on sugar free icepops, they will help with your fluid intake as well as moistening your mouth. Fluid is the most important after the surgery! And as far as the protein goes, I drink 2 Carnation Instant Breakfast (0 sugar carbs added... blue box) with 8 oz of skim milk in each. That is already a total of 24 grams of protein. Then mid day I will TRY to drink another 8oz's of skim milk to add another 8 grams. Protein will take time... just do what you can and don't forget your chewables and your tums for extra calcium. (I buy smooth dissolve tums) they melt in your mouth.
Another protein idea is a liquid protein put out by GNC. Its fruit punch flavored and 3 caps is 18 grams of protein, I like to add it to my apple juice.
Please, I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, just email me.

Hi Lorraine
I buy "perfect Zero Carb Isopure" By Nature's best at GNC; It has 50 grams of protein in two scoops.
I mix it into 12 oz's of water and mix with a spoon and it taste great, I also sometimes mix it into the blender with 1cup small ice cubes, 8 oz's of skim milk and one banana, It makes a great thick shake.
If you have this at least two times a day anyway you like, that's 100 grams of protein !!
If you cant drink all 12 oz's at one time, just break it up anyway you like, but keep in mind that once you mix the protein in, it will start loosing its potency after a certain amount of time.
