Home from the hospital after some complications...
Hi Everyone,
Thursday I went into the hospital to have my gallbladder out, and ended up having fairly extensive surgery for an internal hernia. I have a gastronomy tube and everything. I would feel a lot better without the stupid tube, but the doctor said he needed to put it in for precautions. I have always been very proud that I didn't have any complications from my surgery, but now I can't say that. And I guess internal hernias can be fairly common for folks who have had lap RNY - so make sure you check out any abdominal pain with your surgeon - they aren't detectable via CT scan and they can be dangerous!
So, out on disability again, and limping around the house! And on a stage 1 diet (I can't eat any more cream of wheat - I swear).
But - I'm still glad I did it!
