Regrets
Hello NY
I had my surgery Jan.4 2005 and and here it is four weeks later and I still feel lousy. Im hungry most of the the time and nausea has become an every day thing for me. Hopefully it will get better but as of now i am so regretting this surgery. Can someone please give me some advice to help me from getting to depressed. Thanks
Michelle
Hey Michelle!
First off I am sending you a big hug!
It does gets better sweetie. Most of us have felt that way in the beginning. It's the "What the heck have I done to myself" syndrome. But trust me it gets better. Your body needs time to heal. So just take it day by day and take things slow. Just think about how great you are going to look and feel in just a few short months or sooner! I thought I would never recover, but after several weeks, I didn't even feel like I had the surgery and I lost so much weight so quickly, it was all so worth it.
So cheer up hon, it will get better. Trust me, I've been there!
Keep us posted!

Michelle Dahling!! Hang in there... I am 7 weeks out and went through what you are experiencing, and it can only get better. As long as you are getting in your vitamins, protein shakes, and water you will do just fine. REMEMBER why you did this to begin with. It's the long term goal that will keep you going. (and the thought of wearing a bikini on the beach full of nothing but men)
If you need to chat please feel free to email me anytime!
Keep your chin up babe!

OH Michelle, Don't worry sweetie it will get better believe me. I went through the same thing and now I am almost 10 months post op and believe me I would do it again in a heart beat. This feeling will pass (honest). Like Marilyn said you need to give your body time to heal and adjust to what it has been through. I hope you feel better really soon. Welcome to the losing side Michelle!

Hi Michelle,
[[[hugs]]]
I don't know what you are going through. But I know what it was like to watch my wonderful sister MimiD go threw hell after surgery. To the point we almost lost her.
IF you were to see her now she is a whole new person. Assure of herself. She is out there dating and just having fun. Not to metion a size 8. She would tell you herself that it's worth it. And trust me I remember she telling me that she was regretting surgery. But not anymore.
You did sometime to only help yourself. And this shall pass.
I will keep you in prayer.
May God heal you and keep you safe.
God Bless
Maria
Michelle,
Trust me, you will feel better, and you will see this is one of the best decisions you have made in a few months. You are going through an adaptation period. This is all new to you mentally and physically. The only regret you will have (as I do) is that you did not have it done sooner. You will love it.
I am 4 ½ months post op, I have already lost 95 pounds. I follow the diet, and with my surgeon permission, I have been working out. I am not too good in taking the protein, and I am seeing the consequence with my hair falling out (this is the least of my worries). I am loving the new and HEALTHY "ME". The best is yet to come. I would do it over and over again in a heart beat. You too shall overcome. See this experience positively, embrace the chances, and pray. God will see you through.
Have a great weekend!

I have to tell you that I had a friend who suffered the nausea just like you and it was horrible while it lasted. She had it for 3 months and it disappeared. Some peoples bodies just react differently to the shock of the surgery and ensuing 'starvation" immediately post op. Please be reassured it does end. It does get better. I had a blood clot and bowel leak after surgery. I was very, very ill and I went thru the same thing. "What did I do to my otherwise healthy body?" but that isn't really true either is it? We aren't morbidly obese and healthy at least not for long. When I started to get my energy back and feel a lot better I was able to be happy about the surgery. Drink your protein. If you can't keep anything else down this is the best choice for the ONLY thing you put in your body. I am not 9.5 months out and have lost 104 lbs. I'd do it again tomorrow. Best wishes for you
