approved finally

hello everyone, just wanted to let you know after a long battle with the insurance company, I was approved on a technicality, GHI falled to repond to the appeal in time frame set froward by the state medical laws.... I recieved the letter on Saturday and called my surgeons office and asked them and they said no it was just saying that they recieved it so I let it go and than today I forgot to bring the letter with me to call the insurance so I called the surgeons office and ask if they recieved the letter and they looked and she said yes I was approved and would call the insurance company to make sure, she called me back and so now I was approved..... Wait I also got a date it is Monday Jan 31st how great was that.... Thank you all for your support and encouragment....Everything is finally happing after a long 8 month battle with GHI.... good for you Christine! I to am battling with GHI ... I was denied and denied on appeal. Now I am 5 months into my required 6 month MD supervised weight loss.... I can't wait... It seems like it will never happen! Good Luck! And Congratulations!!

youy hang in there Dina it will happen and you are in your 5th month your time is almost here..... GHI could be such a pain in the a** but you do what you have to do so there will be no problems for your approval, I just got lucky they failed to respond in time and claimed they never got an appeal and my surgeons office sent them the conformations, so they had no choice to approve me but they said I had til the 31st, fine by me..... I will be sitting and waiting for you on the losing side, and fingers are crossed for you....just hang in there..... Christine

Thanks Deb, it is on monday cause the insurance said it has to be by 1-31-05 that's why it's so fast....... I'm still in shock and can't get over that it's really gonna happen for me....it's been a long time.... So how are you doing.....are you all settled in or still some odds and ends.... Christine
