PLEASE READ I NEED A LOT OF HELP
Hello Everyone!. I am writing again for help?? I will be 4 months out as of 1-28-05, I am down 75 pds. I feel very depressed that I should have lost more weight. I read the posting everyday, I am having a problem with eating 3 meals a day ( I do an atkins shake in the morning for Breakfast, lunch a weigh****chers, or boca or lean cuisine frozen meals). I am very concerned about not getting enought proteins in during the day. I have been reading that I should be getting about 60-80 grams of protein I am lucky if I get in 40 grams of protein daily? I started at the gym, I have a personal trainer once a week for 30 minutes and then I also go to the gym for the treadmil, or bike for atleast 30 minutes each time i go to the gym( at least 3 times a week). I have a hard time getting in the water, I also try and drink the crystal light drinks, I am lucky if i drink 2 - 16 ounces of water a day..What am i doing wrong so that I can speed up some of this weight loss. I am still wearing my clothes before surgery they are a little baggie, all my friends can tell the differnce that I have lost a lot of weight, but I still feel FAT?? I get so depressed sometimes, and regrett why I made this choice?? CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME??? THANKS NINA
Hi Nina
First off, 75 pounds is awesome. Congratulations. From reading on this board everyone really does lose at a different pace you can't compare yourself although I kknow it is something we all do. Second, yes you need more protein. I drink 3 drinks a day so there is a minimum of 60 grams and then whatever I get from food is additional. I n otice the more I get in the better the weight loss is. Yes liquids too. I carry around water or iced tea (crystal light) everywhere I go. My goal is to get in 32 ounces at least by 12 noon and then at least another 32 by the end of the day if not more. It's hard but I do it. It is getting easier. Do not regret this tool. Your body is probably starving and dehydrated and rebelling. You must eat and drink. Good Luck. E-mail me anytime.

First off 75 pounds is great. Second, we all loose at different rates. Did you take your beginning measurements? If so take a new set now and I will bet there is a big difference. I know for me that if I slack off on the water intake my scale stops moving. If you can't drink all the water try some sugarfree jello. You really need the fluids especially with working out. Hang in there, the weight will come off, Your doing great

Nina, I had my surgery on 9/27 and I am down 74 lbs post op (45 pre op) so a total of 119 lbs. I can totally relate to what you are saying. I feel like I am losing slow and I seem to lose 2-3 lbs a week. which I feel is not much. I know i have lost a lot but I want it all off now! I struggle with getting in all my water but my protein i pretty much manage. I wish I knew a trick to get in all my water but its hard. I think I would lose faster if I could just drink more.
Hang in there you are doing great
