Anyone know about Medicaid's new rules?

Someone mentioned in a later post that medicaid has new rules for Bariatric Surgery...I cannot find any info on this. Does anyone know about this? My PCP mailed the letter of recommendation out last week, and she said she would call me if there were any complications. No phone call yet...but that doesn't mean there isn't going to be one. (I have a tendency to over-worry,a nd this is a new thing to worry about...having the info about the changes will calm my nerves, hopefully. I like to know what to expect.) Thanks! Hugs! Haley

Hey Haley, I am the one who posted about the new medicaid rules. The nurse at my Drs office said that there will be some new changes regarding bariatric surgery from medicaid. She said they were supposed to post the new rules on Jan 3 but they haven't yet. I wish the nurse didn't even mention anything about it until she knew what was going on for sure. Maybe they decided to not make any changes. I will let you know if I find out anything more and I hope you will do the same. Take Care Stephanie
