Dr. Ren Wednesday, what to expect?
- I'm bringing my husband (I was told to bring a support person). Does she dicuss your weight in numbers? I keep that a mystery w/ my hubby...
- Will there be a physical exam or just talking? I already had a physical w/ the nurse practitioner in her office and my own Dr.
- How long does she meet w/ patients?
- I'm interested to hear from any of Dr.Ren's patients.

I have never been to a support group meeting where they dicuss anything, directly related to yourself. Unless you would like to volunteer any information. Those number will remain a mystery 
to your hubby.
---NO physical exams!!--just meeting people and talking about WLS! It really is important to attend these meeting--you will learn a lot of great info.

My first meeting with the surgeon, lasted about 2 hours and he discussed everything about the surgery, including the pros and cons. He answered all my questions and concerns! I did not get a physical exam but I was weight and filled out lots of paperwork---including a weight chart! Good Luck!

~~~ What type of surgery is best for me...VBG...RNY (Gastric Bypass) Distal or Proximal

~~~Do you require me to stop smoking before surgery? If yes, when? How will smoking affect my surgery and post-op time?
