Alice, I'm so sorry to hear about your niece. I was worried about you because you've been 'missing' for awhile. I do understand what it's like to be intimidated by the medical profession. After countless lectures from gynecologists, I tended to avoid doctors like the plague. Finally I found one that didn't bring my weight up everytime I saw him. Since he's also a professor at a teaching hospital, hopefully he'll impart his attitude to his students. As patients and consumers we not only need to get beyond our embarassment, we need to point out to healthcare professionals if they are less than supportive. If you can't do it for yourself, then do it for the next person who might encounter an attitude.

Kathy~~You have said what many of us have felt regarding "going to the doctor." You were lucky to have found one that is a true professional and supportive. Hopefully others will follow in his footsteps and show respect for all patients. Thanks for being concerned about my being missing--and for taking the time to help me during a very hard time in my life, with your kindness.

Alice, you and your family have my deepest heartfelt sympathy. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved niece. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family that God will give you all the peace you need at this time. That is a beautiful poem. {{{{{hugs}}}}} Glenda

Alice- Everything is going great with me, I am down 45 pounds in 2 months. I should get cleared for all foods next week, and have had no Anyways though I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Things like these help to remind us all how precious life is and to never take anything for granted. Janet
