~~MY SPECIAL NIECE~~
Alice,
I'm so sorry to hear about your niece. I was worried about you because you've been 'missing' for awhile.
I do understand what it's like to be intimidated by the medical profession. After countless lectures from gynecologists, I tended to avoid doctors like the plague. Finally I found one that didn't bring my weight up everytime I saw him. Since he's also a professor at a teaching hospital, hopefully he'll impart his attitude to his students. As patients and consumers we not only need to get beyond our embarassment, we need to point out to healthcare professionals if they are less than supportive. If you can't do it for yourself, then do it for the next person who might encounter an attitude.
Kathy~~You have said what many of us have felt regarding "going to the doctor." You were lucky to have found one that is a true professional and supportive. Hopefully others will follow in his footsteps and show respect for all patients.
Thanks for being concerned about my being missing--and for taking the time to help me during a very hard time in my life, with your kindness.
Glenda Hello~~~Thanks so very much for your thoughts and prayers. My niece was truly a kind and generous person, with a heart of gold. I know that God has chosen her to become a Special Angel, and in time we will find peace. Glenda, I truly thank you for your kindness and words of comfort. Hope that your feeling and doing great.
Alice- Everything is going great with me, I am down 45 pounds in 2 months. I should get cleared for all foods next week, and have had no Anyways though I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Things like these help to remind us all how precious life is and to never take anything for granted.
