New York Presbyterian Hospital- Starting the Process

I could use some advise. I have my first meeting with the staff this week. I've alredy had my blood work and Upper GI Series in addition my insurance will cover the surgrey. As anyone worked with Presbyterian before. I've selected Dr. Beth Schropre. I've also decided to have the lap band...can you tell me how long it took you to recover? Any challenges with the food selections......... Joy

Hi Joy, I just had my surgery with Dr. Inabnet. My stay at Columbia Presbyterian was great. I decided on the RNY and despite a minor setback after surgery, I am doing great. I had my surgery on 12/16 and I am back at work today. You just really have to follow your doc's instructions and listen to your body. If you are tired then nap don't try and be superwoman.
