Hello AMOS family... Went to the surgeon today for my 2nd post op appt and I weighed in 8 pounds lighter!! That makes for a total of 40 pounds in 4 weeks... YAHOOOOO! BUT I think that there may be a problem that I need help with. It is soooo much easier for me to drink than to eat lately so I drink and drink and have gotten to the point that I can drink 6 or more ounces within 15/20 minutes... is this normal or am I stretching my pouch?!? IF I have stretched my pouch out is there a way to stop and shrink it again. I am so worried and maybe a bit paranoid, but the last thing that I want is to stretch it out so that my weight loss will be at risk. My Dr has also said that I need to cut back on solids and go back to pureed baby food, ewww no! And that I also consume too many calories in one sitting. For example, at dinner time, 1 egg 2 tsp salsa and 2 slices of cheese made into an omelette. At 4 weeks out is this way too much? PLEASE HELP. Jalonda

I'd say if you've lost 10 lbs a week then you're doing something right. As for drinking stretching your pouch..I doubt it. Number 1..Its like a funnel..you pour liquid in and out it goes..that's why you shouldn't eat and drink at the same time. It washes the food out faster so you're hungry sooner. I say as long as you're drinking between meals not with..go to it. I still have trouble drinking more than a few sips at a time. I'm 9 months out and down 98.5 lbs.

Thank you Faith for your suuport and encouragement... having inspirations such as you is what makes it possible for me to remember that this is all possible and it WILL happen for me too. (with a little help from self control) LOL. Your weight loss is a BIG step towards a lighter and healthier you... CONGRATULATIONS! Personally, I can't wait to lose 100 pounds. I took a stroll through your profile and I have to say that you are an amazing woman and you have such a fulfilling life with all of your wonderful children.. and you look amazing to boot! Keep up the good work. May God bless you and all of yours! Jalonda
