PLEASE help

This is for the postopers... I am 3 weeks post op and I am having a hard time with pain when I swallow. It sends a cramp through my stomach and then my stomach makes this gurgling noise. This happens no matter if I take a sip or a swallow. AND it takes forever for the food or liquid to dump into my pouch. What is happening to me? I also wake up in the morning with a massive stomach ache that not even Pepto Bismol can cure! I am so scared and my Surgeon is on vacation for another week. Please please help if you can. Jalonda

You need to call his covering doctor. Are you on any type of stomach medicine, besides pepto bismol, like prevacid? If not it might help if you were. Also try mylanta instead. Just not too much it can give you diarrhea. Good luck, Toni

The gurgling is totally normal. Its like your pouch is talking to you. I would go to the emergency room if u are that uncomfortable. I had a stretch at 4 months out but my throat was always fine. Go see someone for x-rays. Good luck, Cindy from Cincinnati
