If you've been seeing a nutritionist, that should help. But it is Aetna *****quires the weight loss documentation, so you'll get that whereever you go. But honestly, it takes so long to get through the consults and everything else that before you know it, you've got the time in on it.

Aetna requires 6 months of documentation, and the nutritionist's notes will be fine. All I did was go to my dr once per month, got weighed, talked about what I was eating and how much I was walking and that was documentation enough for Aetna. Just be sure you get a copy of the nutritionists notes after each session. I, being a bit on the obsessive side, got copies of EVERYTHING just in case someone lost something and I was glad I did because at least one of my consults never made it to my surgeon, but I had a copy so it all worked out

Melvina, Hello hun..... I have GHI myself and I know there are 3 major Ins Comp that make you go through a 6 month weight loss program, I am in my 3rd months of that. Also Aetna is one of them but I forgot the last one..... I see a Dr and a Nutrionist once a month to weigh in, not doing so good but at least I am getting through it. Check with your Ins Comp directly, though mine did NOT give me the info I requested, my Dr did, and thank god that he knows his stuff. I am not sure if that help hun and best of luck.... Debra P
