HAPPY HOLIDAYS OH-NEW YORK!!!!
What a year it has been for me (well at least since Mary 2004) here on OH.com and especially with the NY message board crew.
I have met folks here who have been so instrumental in helping me make the decision to go from casually curious to now a 4 month post-op! This has been an incredible journey. Emotional, scary at times, anticipating, agonizing waiting games, thrilling, exciting, challenging - I mean, the whole gambit of feelings. But with everything that goes along with this, I have absolutely NO REGRETS. Even though I can clearly remember the challenges of early post-op conditions (and the fact that I absolutely miss white rice, fried chicken and let's not talk about apple pie), I still wouldn't take this back for anything. I'd go through it again if I had too - but very glad that I don't have to!
I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who has helped me along this journey. Everyone's concern, kind words, well wishes, advice, support, clothes, I mean EVERYTHING. When a group of folks from OH.com came to see me at home and in the hospital when I had my surgery, it really just filled my heart. When I received BOXES of clothes from my surgery-sister Debbie Pleasic, I just was overwhelmed! This place has been a WEALTH of information, personal experiences, love and support and I am so grateful for all of it.
I wish you all the best in your WLS journey and I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season - and may your 2005 be healthy, happy, and prosperous for you all!
