Blue Cross/Blue Shield

I have Excellus Bc/Bs of Rochester and was approved as of Dec 9th for Wls.I 've heard that as of Jan 2005 Bc/Bs will no longer cover wls.I am wondering if I am already approved and my letter is dated coverage for services rendered from 12/04-12/05 will I no longer be covered when I have my surgery.I don't have a date yet,stillwaiting for the surgeons office to call with it.

From what I heard on the News, it goes into effect on Jan 1st. and I would think that they have approved you, so you are good to go. I would try not to get too worried about this. However I would call the surgeons office to find out what they are waiting for.. lol Take care and Good luck with your future WLS! Lee
