Anything use Meridia????

I went and weighed in at the Dr yesterday and lets say I did not do to good, I gained 1 pound, well I thought it was not THAT bad with the holidays being here but well........he did give me a script for Meridia...... Has anyone every used that? He said it should jump start my weight loss and it is not for long term use......... It is NOT covered by Ins Companies and VERY expensive, so far I have been seeing prices from $150.00 - $215.00 per month for this and before I would spend that money I want to know if it WORKS???????? well let me know if anyone ever tried it????? take care Debra

Christine, Thank you hun and yes we are getting closer...... Yes there are many places online that you can purchase this meds but who knows how long they have been sitting there on the shelf..... I will research it before taking it, worried it might have some side effects like that Redux and phen phen (sp?)........ Hey Debra, I was on Meridia it didn't do anything for me and I'm glad I stopped it when I did because I read an article about it and it wasn't that good it do have something to do with the Redux/phen phen I wish I remembered where I put that article but ask your doctor for another medication and research any medication given before taking it. Hi Debra I was on meridia and it did absolutly nothing for me, I ate right through it.I told the doc and he said to give it a chance, so i did at the end of the month I gained weight. I hope this helps All the best Angela

Debra, I was on meridia 3 times and only lost maybe 50lbs. total and I gained it all back. There has been a few stores out after the vioxx that said they might be thinking about taking meridia off the market due to health issues. So be careful it might not be worth the money or the risk.
