IHA

I have Independent Health Ins. I got an out-of-network referral for the surgeon I wanted (he has the most experience in the area, and at the time the other surgeon who did participate was not accepting new patients) I saw him November 17th and was told I was a good candidate and that it usually takes 3-4 weeks to get it approved. It's been 3 weeks and two days and I still have not heard. I am worried they won't approve the surgery with him. So many people post that they get approved within a few days. Help assure me, PLEASE! Thanks

Hi Lynne: I have IHA also, but my Dr. (Kolli) who is in Niagara Falls has not been approved by IHA as of yet. In fact, quite a few insurances have approved him except IHA. I've been through all of the tests and just waiting for IHA to get it together. So, when did you decide to go to Posner? I thought about it earlier this year, but wasn't going to get an appointment until late Nov. or early Dec. and already had done the paperwork and quite a few other appointments with Dr. Kolli's office.
