Son has GI bug!!

What if I get it???? I am so scared that I will. He is washing his hands really good and I'm wiping everything down with Lysol. I go for my first postop visit tomorrow and am going to ask them about what if. I'm doing so well....I don't need this!!! Beth

Hi Beth; My 3 year old came home with it today from preschool. I had my surgery on Dec 1st and came home from the hospital with a severe upper respiratory infection. I know your worried about vomiting and getting dehydrated but relax. Keep drinking your fluids and washing your hands and I think you;ll be fine. If you get the bug call your doctor. There are medications to help with vomiting they can give you too. Stay focused on what you need to be doing right now and I have to believe God will get us through anything that comes our way. I don't get my staples out til Monday and I can't wait. They are starting to drive me buggy. Kathi

Beth, Sorry your son is sick with the bug. I have my son and new daughter-in-law both down with it. Just keep washing your hands, drinking your fluids, and using that purell stuff. I will keep you and your son in my prayers and may you dodge the nasty bug. Melva
