HELP!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Okay my Amos family I NEED your help. I am only 3 weeks post op and still on pureed diet. I have a meeting at work tomorrow and my workplace is great. The mtg is at 1pm and I was just going to either eat before or just eat like my yogurt or something during the meeting, no big deal. Well today at 4pm my boss says oh lets go out and have lunch at our meeting tomorrow! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! What the heck should I do at this point. I am thinking maybe I should just eat before the meeting and not risk not being able to find anything on the menu. I could probably get away with soup, but have been wanting stuff with more substance lately. Any ideas?????????????? Thanks! Janet

Janet~~~ Now take a Deep Breath and try and relax, it will be just fine!!! Eat before you go and then just get the soup at the Lunch Meeting. This way you will feel full and satisfied. You could also see if the place your eating at has a website with a menu. Planning ahead what you will be eating, since your 3 weeks out, is very important. It will help prevent pouchie from getting upset! Good Luck and enjoy yourself.

Alice you are my !!!!!!!!!!!! I think I will call the restuarant tomorrow and find out what they have. I will also eat some yogurt at around 11/11:30 to help tide me over and then get something like soup or something light at the restaurant. I agree with Alice. If you know for sure which restaurant you are going to I would look into their menu for what I could have. If you won't know until tomorrow (morning) just call them directly and ask about their menu (soups, maybe even if they have some type of meal with mashed potatoes). Either way, enjoy the out of the office meeting.

Hey Janet I went to a Christmas party Saturday night and luckily they had Manicotti on the menu and I just ate the Ricotta, which was great, it was really soft and no one had to know anything. Good Luck, sounds like Alice had the best Idea calling ahead and having a plan should do it. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Tina
