Hi Evelyn~~ Those last pounds are always the hardest to get off! Change what your eating and drinking. Try something different all together and see what happens. Sometimes we tend to eat the same things. Stick with all protein first. It good your busy at work and home, it will keep you out of trouble Nice that your going to start a Support Group, and give back what you have learned and experienced! Have a Great Week-end~~~

Hi Everyone, I've been reading here for a while, but I don't believe I posted on the NY board before. It is great to have this support system. It is wonderful to learn from those that have been through all of this and see the success. I am scheduled for surgery 12/9. So, I am busy trying to get things in order at work and home. Mary

Hi Alice I'm 2 1/2 months post op and down 35 lbs from 237; I'm now 202. The weight appears to be coming off slow, but it's okay. I still have to focus on drinking more water and get in my protein. It's hard but I am determine to do it. I do go to the gym; I think I've lost a lot of inches though. At times I have problems with some foods. My pouch will let me know Have wonderful weekend. & hugs Glenda

Glenda your doing a great job with your weight loss!! As long as it is coming off, YOU WILL GET THAT WEIGHT OFF!! As you said you are one determined person!!!! I am proud of you. It really makes a big difference if you can get more protein and water in. Have you tried the sf ice pops, there great! Do you like hot teas and broth--they count!! Your body might be in a starvation mode, and you will not lose any weight. Who would have thought we all would have a problem with eating and drinking!!! Try eating different foods, as long as there on your Drs plan. Please post again and let us know how your doing. Your such a great support of everyone here at the board!!! Enjoy the rest of the day~~~

Hi Alice, Well lets see I had my surgery 22 months ago and started at 420lbs I am now down to 215lbs last time I checked, the pouch still does rule. I am one of the lucky ones and I am never hungry thank the Lord for that, I also started out wearing a size 64 pants and 5XL shirts, I now wear a 34 pants and a LARGE shirt I had Plastic Surgery on 06/02/04 and they cut off 15 1/2lbs off. It was a one day surgery in Albany here in NY and with a GREAT DR. This journey is a big life change and I would do this over in a second. Tony

Hi Tony~~You went down 30 sizes in pants--wow that's an amazing! I hope that you have saved a pair of your old pants. I also consider myself one of the Lucky Ones---never hungry and do not crave anything. This surgery is a big life change and I am enjoying every minute of it. Don't stay away so long, we all miss you!
