Lightheaded and fainting??

Hi there all, I need some advice. I have been lightheaded for the past couple of days and today I fainted in the parking lot. I dont know what is wrong with me, I had bloodwork done last month and my potasium levels were up other than that everything was fine. I am lightheaded pretty much all the time, I just dont know what is wrong with me Has anyone else been through something like this? Experienced anything similar? Thanks in Advance Lee

I'm only a few weeks post op so I haven't really but it sounds like something you should call your doc about. Fainting is pretty serious and should be checked out. Good luck, Tina

I did, and he cannot put his finger on it either, scared me with all the possibilites that it might be, but could not conclude anything and now we weight for the blood tests to come back. I was just wondering if anyone else had somthing similar happen to them. Lee

Lee, i have a problem with that too. Everytime i stand up my eyes go black and i feel light headed and dizzy and in a few seconds it passes. I also have a thing where all of a sudden i start feeling shakey and dizzy and in a cold sweat and then i feel the need to eat a lot. I had my blood sugar checked and it was fine during the episode. I also saw a cariologist and had a tilt table test done. it was a positve result which means i have a gap in my vegus nerve which the brain isnt telling my heart to pump harder to move the blood a little faster. I was put on some pills, which arent working and i see the cardio on tuesday for a review. this condition isnt serious, but i talked to my "fat dr" and he said he has a few patients who also have this condition. It kinda sounds like you might have something similar. Try going to a cardiologist and get a tilt table test. Hope you feel better, i know it sucks! Jayme
